Bnai Mitzvah February

Sarina Aoyama

Sarina Aoyama, daughter of Bernice and Shinji Aoyama and sister to Lilika, will be called to the Torah on Saturday, February 3. Sarina is a 7th grader at Rosemont Middle School. She was in a Japanese immersion program from K-6 and continues to learn Japanese in middle school. As well as studying Japanese, she has been learning violin since 4th grade and is in the Advanced String Orchestra in Rosemont. Along with her studies, Sarina enjoys listening to music, reading, doing arts and crafts, hanging out with her friends and being outdoors. In school, she participates in Color Guard and she had her friends created a Japanese Club. Sarina is a great big sister, a positive and creative individual and a joy to be around. Her family couldn't be prouder.

Elliot Blundell

Born and raised in La Crescenta, Elliot’s happy places are ski mountains, the desert, and his grandparents’ lake house in New Hampshire. When banned from video games, he enjoys writing fantasy fiction, camping as a Tenderfoot scout, and freaking people out with his eyeball jiggle. The best way to track Elliot down is to follow the trail of exquisite dragon renderings and elaborate Minecraft site maps. Elliot is creative, intellectual, wickedly funny, and deeply empathetic when it matters. As an adult, he hopes to relocate to New England and become an author.
