Summary of November Board Meeting
Chair Cathy Krasner reported for the Rabbi Search Committee that they received several resumes in response to their open posting. They did a Zoom interview with one but decided not to go further. The committee is now in the process of uploading the lengthy Rabbinical Assembly questionnaire to receive resumes from the Conservative movement.
Jenna Leventhal was appointed chair of the Education Director Search Committee.
The report on Security Committee activities included discussion of improved physical security measures, Religious School emergency plans, badges for staff and religious school staff. B’nai Simcha has hired an armed security guard for school hours. Our staff has worked with B’nai on coordinating activities.
A campus clean up day is scheduled for Sunday, December 17. In addition to improving the appearance, it will also improve security by clearing exit routes and improving visibility. Inside, Nancy Carlton is working on cleaning out closets and the stage area.
In Good & Welfare it was noted that Nancy Carlton will be honored by Federation as the Volunteer of the Year.
