Since our last Flame column, the Men’s Club has sponsored or co-sponsored several events.
On October 18th. the Men’s Club provided beverages and desserts for the Simchat Torah celebration and we were pleased to have several Men’s Club members attend and participate at the event.
On October 23rd. the Men’s Club sponsored our fall Breakfast meeting with a special guest speaker, Larry Stewart, who is a renowned former sports columnist for the Los Angeles Times. We were treated to a wealth of stories about our local and national sports celebrities that Larry came to know over his more than 30 years as a columnist for the Los Angeles Times.
Our Men’s Club NFL Football Pool is in full swing and we want to remind everyone that there is still time to purchase tickets and to sign up for or renew your Men’s Club membership and if you sign up at the Silver or higher membership level you automatically receive Football Pool tickets.
Our next scheduled event is our Veteran’s Day breakfast meeting on November 13th. where we recognize and celebrate our Jewish armed services veterans. We hope you can join us for this event to share a breakfast and honor our men and women who have served their country. We have several more events scheduled over the coming months and will be providing details of those events with you in our future Flame columns as we approach them.
