Hello PJTC,

Men’s Club Fall, Winter and Spring program planning is underway with some exciting events coming up. 

First, the annual football pool is underway (you can still get in on the fun https://givingtools.com/give/389/40 ) and Men’s Club members are receiving the weekly list of winners. Congratulations to those so far and with a wide open NFL season, there will be some exciting payouts!

November 7, 2021 will see the return of our annual Veteran’s Day event where we honor those in our community with a bagel breakfast and guest speaker. Did you know that 2021 is the anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown soldier? We’ll be hearing about the creation and the dedication of those charged with guarding the tomb, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. I’ve had the honor of watching the ceremonial changing of the guard at Arlington National Cemetery and it is a moving experience. Join us to honor our veterans. November will also see Men’s Club involved in welcoming our newest members when we, along with Sisterhood, sponsor a barbecue at a PJTC Judaism at Home havdallah service. 

The sweetness of Hanukkah will be enhanced with MC annual sufganiyot treats at events throughout the 8 days. Keep an eye out for the deliciousness coming your way.

Upcoming programs include hearing from noted physicians about Men’s and Women’s health issues, a program introducing the older LBSRS kids and their parents (think Networking) to LBSRS graduates that are highly successful in the social media, tech, movie and television industries (we’re calling this “No dream too big”) and a group tour of one of the newest and greatest sports venues, SoFi stadium, home of the Ram and Raiders football teams.
